1. What Butha is
Butha is invoicing software for small and service businesses: creating invoices, sending them to customers, tracking payments, and issuing receipts. By creating an account or using Butha, you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the business, customer, and invoice information you enter into Butha, and for keeping your login credentials secure. Butha is not a party to the transactions between you and your customers, we provide the tool, the business relationship is yours.
3. Plans and billing
Butha offers a Free plan with a monthly limit on finalised invoices, and a paid Pro plan billed monthly. Full pricing and billing terms are in our Billing and Cancellation Policy.
4. Payments through Butha
Where online payment is available and configured, payments from your customers are processed by our payment provider (Paystack) and belong to you, the issuing business, not to Butha. Manual bank transfer remains available regardless. Butha is not a bank or a licensed payment institution, we integrate with a licensed provider.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Butha to issue fraudulent invoices, to process payments you're not entitled to collect, or to store or send content that's illegal, abusive, or infringing. We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is being used this way.
6. Your data
You own the business, customer, and invoice data you put into Butha. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. If you close your account, we retain financial records for a reasonable period as required for legitimate business, accounting, and legal purposes before deletion.
7. Availability and changes
Butha is provided on an "as is" basis during this early launch phase. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update these terms, the product, or pricing over time, we'll aim to give reasonable notice of material changes.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Butha isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under South African law.
